K. P. Power
K.P. Power, having it’s head office in South Mumbai, India, is the flagship company of the diverse K. P. Group. The primary objective of K.P. Power is to harness all available resources in the form of wind, sunlight, water, and land, to produce eco-friendly wealth for the country either directly by itself or indirectly by facilitating projects for others. The company through this initiative has set up around 200 MW of wind energy projects and infrastructure for 350 MW in India by facilitating an investment outlay of over Rs. 1300 crores ($200 million).
Currently more than 300 million units of power is being generated annually, through the projects set up by K.P. Power. This was achieved by partnering with world class wind turbine manufacturers such as Enron (USA), GE (USA), Vestas (Denmark), and Gamesa (Spain).
K. P. Power has also been entrusted with the responsibility of setting up a 500 MW solar park by the Govt. of India. This park is being built in Beed district of Maharashtra and involves an investment outlay of about Rs. 3,000 crores ($470 million).
